      New TB4 JB

      Hi guys,

I just landed here as a huge seymour duncan fan. I owned many seymour duncan pickups in the past and i just bought a new JB TB4 to be installed in one of my (many) charvels. I get it brand new from a trusted dealer in europe where i'm livning in and right after unpacked it i noticed that there is no longer "Made in america" engraved on the back plate. There is the common sticker with the model and the date and an additional one with a serial number on it. Could you tell me if it is a new évolution ? Never seen that before.

      Have a nice day

      Marc

I know during COVID shutdowns they temporarily switched to a new supplier. But all JBs are made in the USA.

I'm surprised that the Charvel didn't come stock with a JB....about 95% of them do.

JOLLY you are right but this Charvel was modded. The previous owner swapped the pickups with a pair of bare knucle. I want to put back the original seymour duncan on it. Espacially because this is a very very limited run, barely 95 unit were produced of this one.
I saw a couple of those for sale without the 'Made in america" printed on it but not that much.
I had a phone call with the seller , the biggest music seller in europe, and he told me that they ordered it directly from the usa, there is no other way.
                    Here some pics.
Another thing. I'm looking for a SH1N 59 zebra with 'Seymour Duncan" printed on the black part of the Zebra but once again this no longer exist on the new ones apparently. It seems that this model is blank now.

Standard-spaced 59s generally don't have the Duncan logo, because the PAFs in Jeff Beck's 1959 Les Paul they were modeled on didn't have a logo either. The Trembucker bridge and the Nighthawk bridge 59s do, however.

Yes, that is the new baseplate design beginning sometime in 2022 it seems. No need to worry

So you want to put a JB in it just to make it original, at the expense of the Bare Knuckles pup. But, don't you want it to sound good?

Thank you guys for your aswers. I have no doubt that it is a real one. I just wonder why there was no " Made in america" on it.

JOLLY, i don't have the guitar yet. She will be here in a week. It is a 2013 Mex SO CAL silver sparkle. Around 90 units were made. I already have a bunch of charvel espacially the sister of the silver one, the 2013 Mex SD-1 sunset Orange flake and other japan made (1986, 1987 , 2011 ...).

Beaubrummels all seymour 59' i have on my many charvels have the duncan logo on it no matter if it's a zebra or all black.
